This Surprising Thermodynamic Math Rule Will Help You Succeed in 2016.
Hey everybody, and happy New Year! 2016 is almost here and I wanted to share with you a really interesting concept I just learned about which can help you in your business in 2016.
It’s called enthalpy and it’s a concept in thermodynamic mathematics which basically states, in simple terms, that you don’t actually have the physical energy to do something until you have the intention or make the decision to do it.
You don’t actually have the physical energy to do something until you have the intention or make the decision to do it.
So all your latent energy is just sitting in your body until you’ve decided to take action.
But I want to take that one step further in your business in terms of helping you achieve what you want to achieve in your business in 2016.
And it’s all fine and dandy to have a goal, but do you have a plan?
So taking your desired objective and then working backwards over the quarters, months, weeks and days that lead up to when you want to have that objective accomplished is really important.
3 key benefits to having a plan:
- It removes the cognitive load so those days where you just have no idea what to do because you’re so busy and overwhelmed, you just need to refer back to your plan and you know what to do. So that makes it a lot easier.
- Working backwards helps break down a big (and possibly intimidating) goal into smaller, actionable, daily steps
- Also in your plan, what I find is really helpful is including some type of accountability.
Usually that involves another person whether that’s an accountability partner, a coach, a consultant, etc.—somebody to hold you to your promise to yourself, to help you get it done even when you don’t feel like it.
I think there’s a quote out there that says, “Commitment is doing the thing long after the passion has left you.”
So I hope that this is helpful to help you create your best business in 2016.
I’d love to hear what decision are you making right now to make your 2016 your best year ever?
